Three Things in Deliberate Success

  • What success thoughts are in your mind
"It's a great day or it's a wet day". Understand that as a man thinks in his heart so he will be outside. The mind controls the hand. Do you see obstacles only or do you deliberately seek out opportunities to sow your success seeds. Do you say I can make it or this is too strong for me. Do you have a prosperity mindset or poverty mentality? Remember the song "we are the world". That's ownership. Do you relate with yourself as the successful businessman in your community. What choices are you willing to make to put you in the success arena of your work?

  • What success decisions do you make
Do you plan your week, month. Do you realize that one irresponsible decision can cost you a lot of wasted opportunity? An incident in Benin airport a few months ago underlines this statement. Our flight back to Lagos had been delayed for about 4 hours, everyone was upset. But at last we boarded, and a young man got into an argument with another passenger over a duplicated seat number, The air hostess offered him another seat that he noisily refused and also started to verbally abuse the hostess. The pilot was called in and the flight was grounded until the young man was bundled out of the aircraft by security persons. He was detained on the allegation of disruption of flight. Now if he had a business appointment in Lagos, he has destroyed it in moments of crises.  Our decisions must be deliberate and unemotional towards our success goals. Always pause and ponder before speaking. Ask yourself a few questions before you react to certain issues that will impact upon your success.

  • What success actions do you undertake?
The woman that had the issue of blood said... If I can touch the hem of His garment. And she did, and received the rewards of her faith action. Remember she first operated in the first dimension of success, where she saw herself as healed in spite of the expected oppositions. Also the 4 lepers in 2 kings 7:3 said..."come, let us fall upon the Syrians..." and they did, and were pleasantly surprised at the turn of events.

You are responsible for your actions. Be deliberate in your choice. The tide turns for the man that says it is possible and jumps into the storm like Peter. Skill that is not used will have no commercial value, though it may have entertainment value.

To go beyond what level of success others have assigned to you, become deliberate in your mind and your hand. This underlines that jacobic principle as found in GEN. 30:30 " For it was little which thou hadst before I came, and it is now increased unto a multitude; and the LORD hath blessed thee since my coming; and now when shall I provide for mine own house also?"

Until you deliberately break out of the mold others have created for your value, you will not rise to the heights God had ordained for you. This is true both in business and other pursuits.

I hope your have learn one or two things from this little post of mine. If you have been blessed by this kindly leave a comment
