DELIBERATE SUCCESS
When we study the creation model of the creator, we discover that success is delibrate. For instance, God had an intention of expected outcome when He made man. He knew exactly what the outcome we be; arising from the fact that God delibrately laid out the procedure. He was successful because He planned to succeed. Many times we do not realize that success must be deliberate. Let's look at what King solomon says in Proverbs. 10:5 "He that gathereth in summer is a wise son: but that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame".
This gives us the doctrine of responsibility. If you want to be wise, there are things you must do. You must take responsibility for actions that put you on the success path. We really can't keep blaming others when we waste the summer times of our life; times of favour and progress, times of strength and virility, times of hard work and business dividends. You see, times of summer and times of harvest are similar. If you will make progress beyond your present state, there are deliberate decisions you must make in such times. it's easy to lie back in times of harvest and expect that it will continue. It's also easy to go on vacation in times of summer and leave the hard work to others.
If you will achieve deliberate success then learn to take responsibility for your thoughts, decisions and actions. Success thoughts drive success decisions which in turn produce success actions. Why do some people make progress and others in same situation don't. Two people can be in the same poverty situation and one will break out while the other will break up. There is this story of two prisoners in a cell with no light except a peeping hole high up the bare wall. Soon they devised a method of looking out through the window by climbing on each other's back. After a while on began to lose weight and the other became full of life. When they were interviewed the both described what they saw each time they looked out of the window. One saw a hard brown ground that showed no mercy, while the other saw a lovely blue sky that gave him much hope for tomorrow. Of course when the hope of success dies, life withers (Joel 1:12). THE WORST PRISON IS THE CAPTIVE MIND... We must be deliberate in our pursuits, whether in life or secular business. And you can't be deliberate when you don't understand thw two dimensions of success.
The first dimension is the invisible realm while the second is the visible realm. Most of us pursue our success through the second dimension, and this leads to frustration when things don't work out good. The best way is always the invisible dimension where you operate without limitation or hindrance. This is the arena where the mind is most successful. That's where you sit down and deliberately plan to succeed, by engaging the principles and power of God at the same time. That's where you see pictures of the prize that makes you willing to pay the price. But when you operate only in the dimension of the known (visible) you will feel inadequate and give up because of fear. We know that favour does not excel in the arena of fear. Let us learn to push things in our mind first, accept no limitations and then we can fly our way into good success.
In Eccles9:11, we see a situation that a lot of believers that are in business misapply. "I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all". Now the race may not be to th swift, but it does not mean that the race is for the slow. Also the battle may not be to the strong, but surely the battle is not to the fearful and weak either. I have discovered in business that the good deal goes to the prepared. The person that is willing to throw in his hat into the ring will always get a chance to prove himself. Opportunity will always come to the man that is deliberate in his preparation. In my next post we will look into three things in deliberate success.
