1. EAT, BUT NOT ALL DAY LONG
It is advised to have three meals a day. For children, after school meals like applesauce, fruits or some snacks are also suggested. This way when the meal times come around, you can eat with full pleasure as you are hungry.
2. INVOLVE WATER
Adults should opt for 1 glass or two of wine but it is important to make sure that the size of your glass is not like the size of fishbowls. You can also have water.
3. SIT DOWN
It is also recommended to sit and eat. You should not be munching your food while walking or shopping. Sit on your table and not in front of your computer screen.
4. EAT LIGHT AT NIGHT
Lunch meal should be the main meal. Take something light in dinner like soups, salads, an omelet, a simple pasta dish and yogurt or fruit in desert. This way you will be able to sleep better.
5. NO MUNCHING AFTER DINNER
Make a rule that kitchen will not be opened once it is closed after dinner. Don't go about grazing after dinner.
6. GUESS THE INGREDIENTS
It is interesting to taste your food and then guess the ingredients. Discussing about the ingredients and meals increases the awareness and children get to know about the benefits of real food.
7. EATING WELL IS A PLEASURE
Enjoy eating your food and don't do it as if it is your work or a duty. Eating food is one of the greatest pleasures and should be enjoyed. This will help you keeping healthy and fit.
